Installation

Q. Who installs the POS system once I purchase it?

A. We do. Bluefrog POS does not sell an "off the shelf" POS system. We provide a complete POS solution consisting of hardware, software, installation, training and support. We take care of everything for you!.

Q. How long does it take to get a POS system installed?

A. This all depends on the size and layout of the premises and how many terminals are required. But to give you an idea, a typical 2 station POS systems will take approximately 10 business days from the deposit payment. During this time we order and prepare the hardware, perform the data entry of all menu items, install and configure the hardware on-site then provide staff and management training.

Equipment

Q. What type of hardware does Bluefrog POS use?

A. We simply use the best hardware we can find, for example we always use EPSON® thermal and impact printers as these are renowned as the best in the industry for quality and reliability.

Q. What if I have existing hardware and I only require the software?

A. This is reviewed on a case by case basis but generally we only sell complete POS systems. This allows us to provide the best after sales service and enables us to guarantee the performance, compatibility and reliability of the system.

Software

Q. Can you tell me about the Bluefrog POS software?

A. The software was developed in Microsoft Visual Studio. We worked closely with people in the hospitality industry to create an easy to use, feature packed program that has now become the industry's leading POS software. The database is built on the highly regarded "Microsoft SQL Server" which allows great flexibility, expansion, stability and speed.

Q. Does the software ever get updated or new features get added?

A. Yes. One of the unique offerings of Bluefrog POS is the flexibility of being able to add new features, most of which are requests from our clients. We also take the initiative of improving or simplifying the existing features. All Bluefrog POS clients are automatically entitled to all updates and upgrades released throughout their licence period.

Support

Q. What after sales support is offered?

A. At Bluefrog POS we take pride in our after sales service because we understand the importance of keeping your POS system running at all times. We have a direct phone number (1300 992 395) that you can call anytime between 8:00am - 10:00pm, 7 days a week, including public holidays. We can provide remote support to address any issues faster or if required we will send a technician on-site. We can usually have a technician on-site within the hour during business hours.
